The Mitsubishi 4G33 is a 1.4 litre inline four from the 4G3 Saturn family. It runs a single overhead camshaft with eight valves, a carburettor and no forced induction. In Australia it powered the Lancer LB. Bore is 73.0mm and stroke is 86.0mm, which works out at 1439cc. Just 4 parts carry the 4G33 tag here, and three of them are shared with the 1.6 litre 4G32.
Ring sets and pistons
The TP ring set here is listed for the 4G30 and the 4G33, which is right because both run a 73.0mm bore. The 1.6 litre 4G32 does not share it, since that block goes out to 76.9mm on the same 86.0mm stroke. Confirm your oversize before ordering, because most surviving 4G33 blocks have been bored at least once.
Head bolts and gasket sets
A head bolt set is listed for the 4G12, 4G15, 4G32 and 4G33 SOHC engines together. The KP full gasket set covers the 4G32 and 4G33. Order by the code stamped on the block rather than the badge, because Lancer bodies of this era were sold with more than one 4G3 size.
