The Hyundai G4KJ is a 2.4 litre petrol inline four, double overhead cam with 16 valves, naturally aspirated and running direct injection rather than port injection. It is the GDI member of the Theta II 2.4 family, used by Hyundai and Kia from about 2010, and this listing covers the Sonata. G4KJ timing chain sets
Two chain sets are listed and they do not swap. Type 1 uses a steel lower tensioner with a roller lower chain, type 2 uses an alloy lower tensioner with a Morse lower chain, so pull the cover and look before you order.
Pistons, conrods, crankshafts and bearings
Piston and ring sets, aftermarket conrods and crankshafts, and copper lead main and conrod bearing sets. Most of the bearing and ring sets also list against the G4KD 2.0 litre and the G4KE, which is the port injected 2.4 rather than the GDI.
