The Toyota 2F is a 4.2 litre inline six, pushrod OHV with 12 valves, naturally aspirated and carburettor fed, built from 1975 to 1988 as the replacement for the 3.9 litre F. The camshaft is gear driven, so there is no timing chain or belt. It powered the 40 Series LandCruiser, the FJ40, FJ45 and FJ55, and the 60 Series FJ60 petrol. Our shelves carry 14 parts for it.
2F pistons and ring sets
JCC and TIK piston sets, a TP ring set and a Hastings ring set in 1 mm oversize. Measure the bore before ordering, because a lot of these blocks have already been through a rebuild and are no longer standard.
Oil pumps and bearings
Two YSK oil pumps, one for the F and 2F, the other for the carburetted 2F and the 3F, the later 4.0 litre. NDC main bearings for the F and 2F, and NDC camshaft bearings that carry through to the 3F and the injected 3F-E.
2F extractors
Manta extractors for the FJ60 inside the chassis rail, and for the FJ40, 45 and 55 in inside chassis and outside chassis versions. Only the outside chassis set clears a factory PTO winch drive, so check whether the winch is fitted before you pick one.
