The Nissan VK56 is a 5.6 litre petrol V8 with double overhead cams and 32 valves. The VK56 is naturally aspirated. The VK56DE is port injected and went into the Titan and Armada from 2004. The direct injected VK56VD powers the Patrol Y62 from 2010 and the later Titan and Armada. The VK56 uses a timing chain, not a belt.Our VK56 stock runs to 12 parts.
VK56 pistons and ring sets
Enginetech supply a piston set and a ring set, both 0.5 mm oversize. TIK list a piston set filed under the VK56VD, the direct injected version, and TP a standard ring set. The oversize sets only suit a bored block, so measure the bores before you order rather than going off the engine code.
VK56 gasket sets and seals
A genuine Nissan full gasket set, a genuine VRS set and a genuine front crankshaft seal. Head bolts are genuine and sold singly, so count what you need for the job.
VK56 bearings and thrust washers
An NDC main bearing set shared with the 4.5 litre VK45, and an NVP thrust washer set.
