Suzuki J20A Engine Parts

The Suzuki J20A is a 2.0 litre inline four, DOHC with 16 valves, naturally aspirated with multi point fuel injection, on an 84 mm bore and 90 mm stroke. Suzuki fitted it to the Grand Vitara SQ from 1998 to 2005 and to the JB and JT Grand Vitara from 2005, until the 2.4 litre J24B took over in 2008.We list 16 parts for the J20A.

J20A gasket sets and seals

NVP and KP VRS gasket sets, a KP lower gasket set, a genuine front crankshaft seal and a genuine rear main seal. The VRS and lower sets are boxed for the J18A and J20A together because the 1.8 shares the 84 mm bore and differs only in stroke.

J20A pistons, rings and bearings

An NVP piston and ring set, an NPR ring set, NDC main, conrod and camshaft bearing sets, and NDC and TDC thrust washer sets. The J24B shares the rear main seal and the chain with this engine but runs a 92 mm bore, so nothing from the piston and ring list crosses over to it.

J20A timing chain

The J20A uses a timing chain, not a belt. One genuine Suzuki chain is listed, and it is the same part across the J series and the smaller M series engines.
