Toyota 2LT Rebuild Parts, from Timing Belt Idlers

The Toyota 2L-T, listed here as 2LT, is a 2.4 litre inline four diesel, single overhead cam with eight valves and indirect injection. It is turbocharged, which is what the T signals, and it went into Hilux LN models built from the mid 1980s up to 1997. It shares a block and much of its bottom end with the naturally aspirated 2L.Our 2LT stock runs to 22 parts.

Timing belt idlers and tensioners

The 2L-T drives its camshaft with a belt, not a chain. Toothed idler gears and belt tensioners are stocked, and the same parts suit the 2L, 3L and 5L, so an idler catalogued for a 3L Hilux is still the right part for this engine.

Main bearings and head bolt sets

Taiho main bearing sets and head bolt sets are listed across the L, 2L, 2LT, 3L, 5L and 5L-E. The 2L is the same 2.4 litre block without the turbocharger, so most bottom end parts carry straight across.

2LT gaskets and seals

Sump gaskets and half moon plugs are stocked, both shared with the 2L and the electronically controlled 2L-TE.
