What is a towing tune?

A towing tune is a custom performance upgrade that maximises torque output in the low to mid RPM range, which is where towing demands it most. We fine-tune your engine's parameters around your towing needs, so you get better pulling power, stronger engine response on inclines and smoother acceleration under load.

Will a towing tune improve my fuel economy while towing?

It is one of the gains towing customers notice. A towing tune lets you maintain speed with less effort on hills and highways, so the engine is working less hard for the same job and fuel economy while towing improves.

Is a towing tune easier on my transmission?

That is the intent. More torque low in the rev range means reduced gear hunting and less strain on the drivetrain, plus lower RPM torque for easier towing from a standstill. Our towing tunes are built to deliver less wear on your transmission and clutch.
