We stock the Manta exhaust range for 4x4s, diesel utes and performance cars, and we fit it here in our own workshops.
Turbo-back, cat-back and DPF-back systems, centre and rear mufflers, singles and duals, plus extractors and the gaskets to suit. Everything’s listed by vehicle, engine and build date. If a listing doesn’t look right for your ute, ring us before you order.
On a stock diesel a bigger exhaust mostly drops back pressure and exhaust gas temps. That’s handy if you tow or carry weight. It won’t add much power by itself. Put a tune with it and that changes. We’ll tell you straight which one you’re buying.
Fitted at Oxley or Warana, or shipped Australia wide. Also see Mufflers and Extractors and Manifolds.

What Manta makes, and who it suits

Manta build performance exhaust for diesel utes and 4WDs, and for petrol Falcons, Commodores and LandCruisers. We stock the complete bolt-on systems and the individual parts, so this range covers you whether you are fitting a full turbo-back kit or replacing one rusted-out muffler.

Coverage is deepest on Toyota, Holden and Ford, with Commodore, LandCruiser and Falcon the best-served models of all. Nissan, Mitsubishi and Isuzu are well represented too.

Turbo-back, DPF-back or cat-back?

The name tells you where the system starts. A turbo-back replaces everything from the turbo outlet rearward and is the most complete option on a diesel. A DPF-back starts behind the diesel particulate filter, and a cat-back starts behind the catalytic converter, which is why cat-back is the usual choice on petrol vehicles.

This matters for more than flow. A DPF-back or cat-back system leaves the emissions equipment in place, which is what keeps a road-registered vehicle compliant. If a listing is not explicit about what it retains, ask us before you order rather than after it arrives.

Aluminised or stainless

Aluminised steel is the value option and does the job well on a vehicle that lives on sealed roads. Stainless earns its price on coastal, dusty or wet touring work, where corrosion is what ends an exhaust long before wear does.

One thing to watch: only about one product in ten names its material in the title. Do not assume it from the range name. Tell us the part you are looking at and we will confirm what it is made from before you order.

Pipe, tube and one-off work

Not every job is a catalogue system. Mandrel bends, flex bellows, flanges, clamps and V-bands are all stocked individually in pipe and tube and fabrication and fittings.

If your build needs something that does not come in a box, we fabricate and fit exhaust in our own workshops at Oxley in Brisbane and Warana on the Sunshine Coast. Send us what you are building and we will tell you whether a catalogue system covers it or whether it wants custom work.

Manta exhaust FAQs

Will a Manta exhaust make my vehicle illegal?

Not if you fit the right type. A DPF-back or cat-back system retains the emissions equipment, which is what compliance depends on. Noise limits are set by each state and are measured with a stationary test, so the number that applies to you depends on where the vehicle is registered. Tell us your vehicle and state and we will point you at a compliant system.

How much does a Manta system cost?

A single muffler or component can be under a hundred dollars. A complete diesel turbo-back system is typically in the low thousands, and the largest custom systems go higher again. Price tracks how much of the exhaust you are replacing and whether it is aluminised or stainless, so tell us the vehicle and we will quote the actual system rather than a range.

Do I need a tune after fitting an exhaust?

On a diesel you get the most from a freer-flowing exhaust when the tune is matched to it, and we tune in-house. On a stock vehicle a system will still work correctly without one. If you are planning both, doing them together saves you paying twice for dyno time.

Is stainless worth the extra over aluminised?

It depends on where the vehicle lives. Coastal, wet or dusty touring is hard on an exhaust and stainless resists that far better. A vehicle that mostly sees sealed suburban roads will get a long life out of aluminised.

Which vehicles are covered best?

Toyota, Holden and Ford are the deepest by a clear margin, followed by Nissan, Mitsubishi and Isuzu. Commodore, LandCruiser and Falcon are the single best-covered models in the range.

Can you fit it, or is this supply only?

Both. We ship Australia-wide, and we fit and fabricate exhaust in our own workshops at Oxley and Warana.

Not sure which Manta system fits your build?
Send your rego or VIN and tell us whether the vehicle is stock or tuned, and what you tow. Our Australian-based diesel team will confirm the right system and what it retains before you buy, and we can fit it in-workshop at Oxley or Warana.
