The Toyota H is a 3.6 litre inline six diesel of 3576 cc, with pushrod valve gear and 12 valves. Aspiration is natural and injection is indirect through a mechanical pump. Production ran from 1967 to about 1980 in the LandCruiser 40 Series HJ45 and the Dyna HU15. The 5 parts Willys lists for the Toyota H are two oversize ring sets, two bearing sets and a thrust washer.
Toyota H ring sets in oversize
Two ring sets are listed for the Toyota H, one NPR set at 0.5mm oversize and one at 1mm. The Toyota H has an 88mm bore against 91mm on the 4.0 litre 2H. Ring sets do not cross between the two even where the bearing sets do. Camshaft drive on the Toyota H is by timing gears, so there is no belt or chain in the front cover.
The rest of the Toyota H shelf
The ACL conrod bearing set, the TDC main bearing set and the thrust washer are each boxed for the 2H as well. That shared box is the one place where Toyota H and 2H stock overlaps here.
