The Nissan L28E is the fuel injected 2.8 litre L series six, 2753 cc. A single overhead cam runs 12 valves, and aspiration is natural. Nissan ran the L28E from 1979 to 1987. The 280ZX S130 is the main car, and the listings also reach the Skyline and Patrol MQ. At 3 parts the L28E archive is a rebuild shelf, with no injection or ignition components on it.
L28E pistons and oversize rings
An NVP piston set and a TP ring set are listed for the L28E, both at 1mm oversize. Neither comes in standard size, so the block has to be bored to suit before either goes in. Camshaft drive on the L28E is by timing chain rather than belt. The L28 page carries the same 2.8 litre block in carburettor form, plus the timing chain guides.
Rocker cover sealing for the L28E
A Permaseal rocker cover gasket is the third L28E line here. The same gasket is boxed for the L20A, L24, L26 and L28, so it is not L28E specific.
