Isuzu 6VE1 Engine Parts

The 6VE1 is Isuzu’s 3.5 litre petrol V6, 3494cc, DOHC 24 valve, naturally aspirated with multipoint fuel injection. It shares its 93.4mm bore with the 3.2 litre 6VD1 but runs a longer 85mm stroke. Isuzu fitted it from 1998 in the Trooper, and Holden badged it in the Jackaroo UBS from January 1998 and the Rodeo RA from 2003. We stock 21 parts for it.

6VE1 head gaskets and gasket sets

The head gaskets are listed left hand side and right hand side and they are different part numbers, so a full head job needs one of each, not two of the same. A lower gasket set for the DOHC 24 valve is listed too.

Timing belt tensioner, idlers and water pump

The 6VE1 uses a timing belt, not a chain. We list the pulley tensioner and the idlers, and the water pump, which sits behind the belt and is worth doing with it. Most carry the 6VD1 as well because the part is common to both.

Pistons, rings and bearings

Ring sets for the late DOHC engine, a piston and ring set at 0.1mm oversize, plus main bearing sets and thrust washer sets. Measure the bores before ordering the oversize set for a block that has been honed.
