The Ford Mazda WEAT is a 3.0 litre inline four, DOHC 16 valve, turbocharged and intercooled with common rail direct injection. The WEAT was built from 2006 to 2011 for the Ford Ranger PJ and PK and the Mazda BT-50 UN. The WLAT is the 2.5 litre version of the same family. The WEAT runs a timing belt, not a chain. There are 17 parts listed for the WEAT.
Timing belts and belt sets
Three NVP listings: the belt on its own and two belt sets. An NPW water pump and a genuine Mazda thermostat sit alongside, since most people change both while the belt is off.
Injection pump and injectors
A Bosch high pressure injection pump catalogued for the WEAT and WLAT, and an NVP injector fit set for the 3.0.
WEAT pistons and bearings
A TIK piston set, NDC and ACL conrod bearing sets and a TDC thrust washer set. Belt sets, water pump and thermostat are shared with the 2.5 WLAT, but the pistons are not: the WEAT bore is 96 mm against 93 mm on the WLAT, so read the code off the engine plate before ordering a piston set. Mazda files the same 3.0 under its own WE code, and the WE page holds the parts listed that way.
Other WEAT parts on the shelf
A 12 piece NVP cooling hose set, an EGR cooler assembly and an NVP rocker arm. The rocker arm is catalogued across the WL-C, WLAT and WEC as well.
