About Willys Workshop

Willys Workshop is a diesel performance and mechanical workshop with two Queensland locations: Oxley in Brisbane and Warana on the Sunshine Coast. Founded in 2020 by Willy, a heavy diesel mechanic with more than 20 years on the tools, we tune, service, repair and rebuild diesels of every size, from daily-driven utes and 4WDs to trucks, fleets and earthmoving machinery.

Our Story

Built by a diesel mechanic, run like one

Willy started Willys Workshop in 2020 after more than two decades as a heavy diesel mechanic, with Caterpillar-specific technical training and years spent on everything from 79 Series LandCruisers and PX Rangers to Dodge Rams and earthmoving plant. The unofficial motto has been the same since day one: we can fix anything with an engine that is broken.

The way we work has not changed either. Honest, no-shortcut diesel work backed by measurable results. Performance jobs are baselined and proven on the dyno, repairs use genuine and OEM-quality parts, and nobody gets talked into work their vehicle does not need.

You will always know where your job is at. We quote before we start, call you when anything changes, and walk you through what we found before you drive away. Simple things, done every time.

Who owns Willys Workshop?

Willys Workshop was founded in 2020 by Willy, a heavy diesel mechanic with more than 20 years of experience and Caterpillar-specific technical training. He still leads the team today.

Where is Willys Workshop located?

We have two workshops in South East Queensland: 291 Cliveden Avenue, Oxley in Brisbane, and 29 Production Avenue, Warana on the Sunshine Coast. Oxley is open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Warana is open Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Do you only work on diesel vehicles?

Diesel tuning, repairs and rebuilds are the specialty and the bulk of what we do, but neither workshop is diesel-only. We also take on general mechanical work: brakes and suspension, batteries and alternators, clutch and gearbox repairs, safety certificate inspections, diagnostics and auto electrical. Plenty of customers bring us a diesel ute for a tune and end up servicing the family car with us too, because it is easier to keep every vehicle with one workshop that knows your history.

Do you work on trucks, fleets and machinery?

Yes. Heavy diesel is where Willy started, and both workshops take on highway trucks, prime movers, earthmoving and agricultural machinery alongside utes and 4WDs. For businesses we run fully maintained fleet plans with scheduled servicing built around factory intervals, which keeps downtime predictable and catches problems before they park a vehicle. Mobile servicing is available for trucks and heavy equipment, so if a machine cannot come to us, we can arrange to service it on site.
