The Nissan KA24DE is a 2.4 litre inline four with double overhead cams and 16 valves. The KA24DE is naturally aspirated with multipoint fuel injection and an iron block. Nissan built it from 1991 and fitted it to the Navara D22 petrol, the Bluebird U13 and the 240SX. The KA24DE runs a timing chain, not a belt.Stock for the KA24DE runs to 11 parts.
KA24DE timing chain and sprocket
An NVP single row timing chain and an OSK crankshaft sprocket. The sprocket also fits the KA24E, the same 2.4 block with a single overhead cam and 12 valves.
KA24DE pistons, rings and bearings
A JCC piston and ring set, a RIK ring set on its own, and NDC main and conrod bearing sets. The bearing sets cross to the KA24E as well.
KA24DE water pump, extractors and manifold gaskets
An NPW water pump, Permaseal exhaust and inlet manifold gasket sets, and a Manta extractor. The extractor is listed for the 2WD D22 built between May 1999 and April 2000 only, so check the build plate before you order it.
