The Holden Z18XE is a 1.8 litre inline four with double overhead cams and 16 valves, an Opel Ecotec design. The Z18XE is naturally aspirated with multipoint fuel injection. Holden fitted it to the Astra TS from 2000, the Astra AH from 2004 to 2009 and the Vectra ZC. The Z18XE runs a timing belt, not a chain.Our shelves hold 11 parts for the Z18XE.
Z18XE gasket sets and head bolts
A Victor Reinz VRS set and two NVP lower gasket sets cover a full rebuild. There is also a Victor Reinz rocker cover gasket. If you are doing the head, order the NVP head bolt set with the VRS set: the bolts are angle tightened stretch bolts and do not go back in. The Z18XER is the later 1.8 with variable valve timing on both cams.
Z18XE water pump and timing idler
An NVP water pump and an NVP idler pulley for the belt drive. The idler is shared with the C16XE, a 1.6 from the same engine family.
Z18XE pistons and bearings
An NVP piston and ring set that also covers the X18XE1, plus ACL main and conrod bearing sets shared across the small Holden Ecotec range.
