The Holden C14SE is a 1.4 litre inline-4 petrol, SOHC 8 valve, naturally aspirated, multipoint injected. It is Opel’s Family 1 design and runs a timing belt, not a chain. Holden fitted it to the SB Barina, the Opel Corsa B under a Holden badge, from 1994 to 2000. The C14NZ is the same 1.4 with single point injection.Our C14SE stock runs to 9 parts.
C14SE VRS gasket sets and head bolts
Two NVP VRS gasket sets boxed for the C14SE alone, each with the head gasket in it. The NVP head bolt set is shared with the C12NZ, C14NZ and the 1.6 litre C16SE. Family 1 head bolts are angle tightened and stretch in service, so a head gasket job takes a new set.
Water pump and camshaft
An NVP water pump boxed for the C12, C14NZ, C14SE and C16XE. A FAI camshaft covers the C14SE and C14NZ. The pump runs off the timing belt and rotating its housing sets belt tension, so it is a belt off job.
C14SE main and conrod bearings
ACL main and conrod bearing sets, each boxed across the Family 1 range up to the 1.8 litre Z18XE. Neither is listed undersize.
