The 22R is Toyota’s 2.4 litre overhead cam four cylinder petrol, carburetted in standard form and injected as the 22R-E. It ran in the Hilux 1984-1997 petrol in the LN / RN (pre-1997) bodies, and in the Corona and Celica. A lot of the bottom end parts also cover the earlier 18R and 21R.Stock for the 22R runs to 46 parts.
22R timing components
NVP timing chain sets, including a set supplied without seals that does not suit the Coaster, and NVP timing covers. Chain sets vary in what they include, so check whether you also need seals or gears before you order.
22R pistons and rings
NVP piston sets and dome piston sets in standard and 1mm oversize, with pin bush sets from NDC and Taiho, some supplied semi finished. Have the block measured first and order to the size the machine shop gives you.
