Nissan L18 Engine Parts

The Nissan L18 is a 1.8 litre inline four petrol, SOHC with 8 valves, carburetted and naturally aspirated. Nissan built it through the 1970s and Australia knew it best in the Datsun 180B. It shares bearings and rings with the 1.6 litre L16 and the 2.0 litre L20B. Every L series engine runs a timing chain rather than a belt.Our L18 stock runs to 6 parts.

L18 pistons and ring sets

Rings and pistons make up most of this listing. TP and NPR both build ring sets including a 0.5mm oversize. A piston set is listed for the L18 and L20. Measure the bore you actually have and order rings to that, not to what the last rebuild was meant to be.

L18 conrod bearings

NDC list a conrod bearing set covering the L16, L18 and L20B along with the later Z20, Z22 and Z24. That shared fitment is why the set also sits under our Patrol MQ and MK 160, 720 D21 and Navara sections.

Water pump and the rest of our L18 stock

The water pump listed here only suits engines without air conditioning, so look at what is bolted to the front of yours first. A manifold gasket set and a Datsun 180B extractor gasket round out the listing.
