The 4.0 is Ford’s 4.0-litre inline six: the SOHC 12 valve engine used from EB through to AU, and the DOHC 24 valve Barra in the BA/BF/FG Falcon. The two share very little, so quote your chassis when you order.We hold 34 parts for the 4.0. The 4.0 runs a timing chain, not a belt.
4.0 gaskets
NVP head gaskets for the AU, EB-ED and EF-EL Tickford SOHC engines, VRS gasket sets for the Barra with a 0.25mm MLS head gasket, inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets reaching back to the 3.2 and 3.9, and rocker cover washers.
4.0 bottom end
JCC piston sets, NPR ring sets, ACL bearings and Manley H beam forged conrods for the Barra. The Callies forged cranks listed here are 4.0 stroke units for other engines, so read the fitment line first.
