The Mercedes OM601 is an indirect injection diesel inline four, SOHC with two valves per cylinder. Mercedes built it from 1983 to 2000 in 2.0, 2.2 and 2.3 litre forms, almost all naturally aspirated. Fitment runs from the 190D W201 to the Vito and Sprinter vans. The OM601 drives its camshaft off a duplex chain, not a belt. Only one of the 4 parts is OM601 specific.
OM601 gasket sets
An FAI VRS gasket set for the OM601.943 Sprinter engine and a lower gasket set boxed for the OM601 and OM611. The OM611 is the 2.2 litre common rail four that replaced it, so a set covering both is a genuine overlap. Read the full suffix off the block before ordering, because the 2.0 and the 2.3 do not share a bore.
OM601 water pump
An FAI water pump listed for the OM601 and the OM602, the 2.5 litre five cylinder from the same family. A single part number spanning both codes is normal on these Mercedes diesels and is not a substitution.
