The Isuzu G200Z is a 2.0 litre SOHC eight valve inline four, carburetted and naturally aspirated. Isuzu ran it in the Rodeo KB through the 1980s as the later revision of the G200. The G200Z turns its camshaft with a chain rather than a belt. Pistons, main bearings and a timing chain make up the 3 parts on the G200Z page.
Timing chain for the G200Z
The timing chain is catalogued for the G200Z and the 1.8 litre G180Z, since both run the same chain drive. Chain, guides and gears wear as a set, so a fresh chain on a hooked gear will not last. The earlier G200 is the same 2.0 litre before this revision, and its page carries the camshaft and crankshaft timing gears.
G200Z piston set
A piston set is listed for the G200Z alone, described as 2.0 SOHC 8V. That is the one line here that does not carry over to the smaller G180Z.
Main bearings under the G200Z
NDC list a main bearing set spanning the G161, G180Z and G200Z, so those three share crank journal sizes. The G200Z is the biggest of the three at 2.0 litres, which is why the piston set does not cross over.
