Everything that goes inside an engine during a rebuild is in this range, from a complete kit down to a single bearing shell or head gasket. Most of it suits the diesel 4WD, ute and truck engines we see in the workshop, with parts for common petrol engines alongside. Know your engine code? Engine rebuild kits are the quickest way in.

Start with the engine code, not the badge
Parts here are listed against engine codes such as 1HZ, 1KD, YD25 and 6BT, because one model name has carried several engines over the years and one engine often went into several vehicles. Read the code off the block, then use shop by engine code to see everything listed for it.
Where an engine was built in early and late versions, the listing says so. The two are rarely interchangeable, so match that note as well as the code.
Full kit or individual parts
A rebuild kit puts the pistons, rings, bearings and gaskets for one engine into a single order, and it is the simpler buy for a full overhaul. Buying part by part makes more sense when you are fixing one known fault, such as a blown head gasket or a worn oil pump. The individual sections are pistons and rings, main and conrod bearings and gasket sets and seals.
Machined engines need sizes
If the block has been bored or the crank ground, pistons and bearings have to be ordered to the machined size, shown as STD, 0.25, 0.50 and so on. You can order first and send the machinist's job docket later, and nothing ships until the sizes are confirmed with you. Our bearing and piston size guide explains what each number means.
Petrol performance builds
Forged pistons and conrods for petrol performance engines such as the LS, 4G63 and RB sit in their own section, performance pistons, so they do not crowd the standard rebuild parts. If you would rather hand the whole job over, our engine rebuild service runs at Oxley and Warana.
Engine internals FAQs
Can you do the rebuild for me?
We can. Diesel and petrol rebuilds go through our Oxley and Warana workshops using the same parts listed here. Weighing up a home rebuild instead? Ring with the engine code and what has failed, and we will talk through both options.
Is this range only for diesels?
No. It is built around diesel 4WD, ute and truck engines, but it also covers many petrol engines, from Toyota, Nissan and Mazda fours and sixes to Holden V8s and LS engines. Search by engine code to see what is listed for yours.
How quickly do engine parts ship?
It depends on who supplies the part. Where the product page says Order before 11am AEST for same-day dispatch, an in-stock part ordered by then on a business day goes out that day. The rest are dispatched by the supplier, usually within 1 to 2 business days. The product page shows which applies.
What warranty do engine parts carry?
Parts we supply carry a 12-month warranty against defects, from the date of purchase or installation, whichever is later, subject to the manufacturer's terms and fair wear and tear. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law sit on top. Clause 7.1 of our Terms and Conditions covers it.
