The Subaru EJ22 is the 2.2 litre EJ flat four, 2212cc from a 96.9mm bore on the same 75mm stroke as the 2.0 litre EJ20. Here it was SOHC, 16 valve, naturally aspirated with multipoint injection. It went into the Liberty BC and BF from 1989 and BD and BG to 1998, and overseas Impreza models, not the local WRX. This page lists 20 parts for the EJ22.
EJ22 gasket sets and seals
A KP VRS gasket set for the SOHC 16 valve EFI engine, head gaskets included. A rear main seal shared with the EJ20 and the 2.5 litre EJ25, and a Permaseal inlet manifold gasket shared with the SOHC EJ20.
Bearings, rings and lifters
TDC main bearing sets, NDC and ACL race conrod sets, an NVP ring set cut for the EJ22 alone, and genuine valve lifters. The two main sets differ in where the thrust flange sits, one being a number 5 thrust set, so check which journal on your crank carries the flange before ordering.
Water pump and timing pulley
