The Mazda KL is a naturally aspirated 2.5 litre V6, DOHC with 24 valves and multi point petrol injection. Mazda built it through the 1990s for the 626 GE and GF, the MX-6 and the Eunos 500. The KL sits above the 1.8 litre K8 and 2.0 litre KF in the same V6 family. The KL page runs to 9 parts, covering pistons and rings, head gaskets and bearing sets.
KL piston and ring sets
Two piston and ring sets are listed for the Mazda KL, one marked at 1mm oversize and one with no size marking. The oversize kit only suits a block already bored to match, so measure the bores before you choose between them. The KL drives its camshafts on a toothed belt, not a chain.
KL ring set on its own
An NVP ring set is listed separately for a rebuild that reuses serviceable pistons. No size is marked on it, so check the bore and the ring gap rather than assuming the block is still standard.
