The Nissan J15 is a 1.5 litre overhead valve four, naturally aspirated and carburettor fed. Nissan forklifts, the Cabstar and the Homer used it from the mid 1960s. Forklift work kept it in service for decades after. The J15 uses a timing chain, not a belt. Most listings here cover the J13 and J16 as well, at 1.3 and 1.6 litres.Stock for the J15 runs to 8 parts.
Timing chain, gears and sprockets
Three timing listings sit here: a chain tensioner, a genuine Nissan camshaft timing gear and a camshaft gear sprocket. The tensioner and the sprocket are listed for the J16 as well.
Bearing and thrust washer sets
Main, conrod and camshaft bearing sets are listed, with a thrust washer set beside them. NDC lists most of them across J13, J15 and J16 together, so one packet can carry all three codes. Check what the crank has already been ground to before you pick a size.
