The Nissan P40 is a 4.0 litre overhead valve petrol six, carburettor fed and naturally aspirated. It powered the MQ and MK Patrol, the 160 series, from 1980 to the late 1980s. Parts here are filed across the earlier P and the P40, and one gasket is listed for the L28 as well.Stock for the P40 runs to 8 parts.
P40 piston and ring sets
Piston and ring sets are listed in 0.5mm and 1mm oversize for the P and P40. Measure every bore after the block comes back from the machine shop, because the oversize on the box has to match what was actually cut.
P40 main, conrod and camshaft bearings
NDC main and conrod bearing sets cover the P and P40, and camshaft bearings are listed for the same pair.
Extractor gaskets and gasket sets
Manta extractor gaskets are listed for the P40 Patrol, one of them shared with the MQ and the L28. An NVP VRS gasket set covers the P and P40.
