The Toyota 2Y is the 1.8 litre petrol four from the Y series, an overhead valve pushrod engine with two valves per cylinder. It ran from the early 1980s into the 1990s in the Hiace and other light commercials. Where the 3Y is 2.0 litre and the 4Y is 2.2, the 2Y is the smallest of the three.Our Toyota 2Y stock runs to 9 parts.
VRS gasket set
Gasket stock is a single VRS set, listed for the 2Y and the 3Y together. It is the only gasket line filed against this engine.
2Y main, conrod and camshaft bearings
Bearings are the deepest group here, covering main, conrod and camshaft sets. The 2Y is a pushrod design with the camshaft in the block, driven by a timing chain rather than a belt.
2Y pistons and ring sets
There is a piston set listed for the 2Y on its own and a ring set shared with the 3Y. Pistons are the one group that does not carry across the Y series, so order by engine code and not by model.
