The Mazda B6D is the 1.6 litre DOHC 16 valve version of the B series four. The B6D is naturally aspirated and port injected, with a cast iron block and an alloy head. Mazda used the B series through the late 1980s and the 1990s in the 323 and Familia. The B6D tag sits on 4 parts here, one of them a timing belt idler.
Timing belt idler
The B6D runs a timing belt, not a chain. The idler listed here also carries the BPD and Ford ZMD codes, and the BPD is the 1.8 litre version of the same B series. It is sold on its own rather than inside a belt kit, so check what your kit already includes.
VRS gasket set and ring set
A KP VRS gasket set is listed under the B6D on its own, covering the head and top end. There is no full set here, so sump and rear main seals are not part of it. The ring set is filed against the B5 and B6Y as well, so it is not B6D specific.
Conrod bearings under the B6D
The conrod bearing set covers the B6, B6T, B6Y and BP as well as the B6D. Everything else for the family sits in the B6 archive, which takes in the turbocharged B6T at the same 1.6 litres.
