Nissan TB48 Rebuild Parts, from Timing Chain Sets

The Nissan TB48 is a 4.8 litre inline six with a DOHC 24 valve head, naturally aspirated and running multipoint electronic injection. It was the big petrol option in the Nissan Patrol GU Y61 from 2001 through to the end of that model. The TB45 it replaced is a 4.5 litre with a single cam 12 valve head.We list 22 parts for the TB48.

Timing chain sets, guides and tensioners

The TB48 runs a timing chain, not a belt. Full chain sets with the genuine chain, the camshaft chain, tensioners and guides are all listed. The guides are handed, so the tension side guide is a different part to the slack side, and it pays to say which one you want when you order.

Extractors and exhaust manifold gaskets

Manta extractors to suit the manual and auto GU Patrol are stocked with the exhaust manifold gasket for the 4.8 six.

Water pump, thermostat and bottom end

Water pumps and a genuine thermostat are on the shelf. Ring sets, main bearing sets and ACL race conrod bearing sets cover the TB42, TB45 and TB48 together.
