The Ford H9FA is the 2.4 litre Duratorq TDCi diesel, an inline four with DOHC and 16 valves, turbocharged and fed by common rail direct injection. It is the 100 PS rating of the 2.4 in the Transit VM from 2006 to 2011, and the H9FB is the same engine tuned to 115 PS. Most parts here are boxed for both.We keep 11 parts for the H9FA here.
H9FA head gaskets and gasket sets
Two Victor Reinz head gaskets, one of them the 3 hole grade, and a Victor Reinz VRS set. A Victor Reinz full gasket set and an NVP VRS set are also listed, both supplied without the head gasket. They are boxed for the H9FB as well. Most also cover the D0FA and D2FA, the 2.4 Duratorq before common rail.
Timing chain set and head bolts
The H9FA uses a timing chain, not a belt. The NVP double row chain set comes with gears but without the oil pump chain, so order that separately if you are pulling the front cover for a full timing job. An NVP head bolt set is listed alongside it.
Water pump, thermostat and pistons
An NVP water pump that also fits the earlier 2.4s and a genuine thermostat shared with the 3.2 litre P5AT. A Yenmak piston and ring set is listed for the Transit 2.4.
