Turbocharging a 1HZ
The 1HZ left the factory without a turbo, and adding one is the most common thing owners ask us about. It is not just the turbo: you need the manifold, oil feed and drain, intercooler plumbing where fitted, and you need to know what your pistons and head will take before you start adding boost. Talk to us about your build before you buy parts — a 400,000km 1HZ and a freshly machined one are different jobs.
1HZ rebuild kits
Kits include pistons, rings, bearings and a full gasket set. Piston, main and conrod bearing sizes are all selectable from standard through oversize, so if your block has been machined, order to the measured size rather than guessing. Send us the machine shop figures and we will confirm the kit before it ships.
