Choosing a ZD30DI rebuild kit
There are three rebuild kits: standard, high performance, and high performance with ARP. If you are not sure which suits, tell us how the Patrol is used and whether it is tuned. Piston and ring sets, including a 0.5mm oversize set and a ceramic coated FAST turbo piston set, are sold separately, as are head bolt sets and VRS and lower gasket sets.
If the block has been machined, order to the measured size and include your engine number; the sizes page explains the numbers.
Fuel pump and injector fitting
For the fuel pump there is the fit set, the injector fuel pump gasket and the adapter plate O-ring, plus injector fit sets. For the pump itself, tell us your build date or engine number and we will confirm what suits. The common rail ZD30CR that followed uses a different fuel system, so make sure any fuel part you order is listed for the DI.
Timing chain, oil pump and cooling
Timing chain sets come with gears from OSK and NVP, one of them for early engines, alongside genuine and NVP tensioners, the curved chain guide and an idler tensioner in timing components. Replace the tensioner and guide with the chain.
Beyond the timing gear you will find a YSK oil pump assembly, a water pump with viscous coupling, a genuine thermostat, cooling and intercooler boost hose sets, a reconditioned exhaust manifold with its gasket, and the airflow meter housing.
