The Toyota 2K is a 993 cc inline four with pushrod overhead valves, carburetted and naturally aspirated. Bore is 72 mm and stroke 61 mm. Toyota built it from the late 1960s into the 1980s in the Publica and the early Starlet. Camshaft drive across the K series is by chain, not belt. Everything filed under the 2K is bottom end hardware, 4 parts in all.
2K main bearing sets
Two main bearing sets are listed. The NDC set is catalogued for the K, 2K, 3K and 4K together. The Taiho set covers the 2K and 3K at 1 mm undersize, so it only suits a crank that has already been ground. Both also sit under our Corolla KE70 section, which came with the 1.3 litre 4K rather than the 2K.
2K piston rings
The TP ring set here is boxed for the 2K on its own. The 2K runs a 72 mm bore. The 1.2 litre 3K and the 1.3 litre 4K both sit at 75 mm, so a ring set off those pages will not fit.
The rest of our 2K stock
An NDC pin bush set for the small end is the last line, filed from the 2K through to the 5K. The 5K is a 1.5 litre on a bigger bore again, so the bush is what carries across rather than the block.
