Hyundai G6DA Engine Parts

The Hyundai G6DA is the 3.8 litre Lambda V6, 3,778cc from a 96mm bore and 87mm stroke, with double overhead cams and 24 valves. It is port injected and naturally aspirated. Built from about 2006 to 2012, it went into the Kia Grand Carnival VQ, the 2007 to 2009 Sorento BL and the Hyundai Grandeur TG.Stock for the G6DA runs to 14 parts.

Timing chain set and cam gears

The G6DA uses a timing chain, not a belt. The set listed carries the OE chains and tensioners, and the genuine exhaust variable cam gear is listed on its own. The oil pump runs its own short chain, sold separately here, so add it if the front cover is already off.

Bearings, thrust washers and pistons

Main and conrod bearing sets, a thrust washer set and a piston set are listed. Most are shared with the G6DC, the 3.5 litre on a 92mm bore and the same 87mm stroke. That is why they also appear under the Santa Fe DM (2012 to 2018).

Water pump, coolant housing and gasket sets

A genuine water pump, a coolant housing and a cooling hose set are listed with a full gasket set and a lower set.
