The Toyota 2E is a 1,295cc SOHC inline four petrol engine with three valves per cylinder, carburettor fed and naturally aspirated. Toyota built it from the mid 1980s for the Starlet EP71 and EP81, the Corolla EE90 and the Tercel. The 2E runs a timing belt, not a chain. Bottom end hardware is all the 2E page holds, 3 parts covering pistons, conrod bearings and thrust washers.
2E conrod bearings and thrust washers
An NDC conrod bearing set covers the 1E and 2E along with the DOHC 4E-FE. An NDC thrust washer set is listed for the 1E and 2E on their own. The 1E is the 1.0 litre version of the same SOHC family and the 4E-FE is the 1.3 litre twin cam that followed. One box covering both the single cam and the twin cam is normal here, but it does not mean pistons or gaskets cross over the same way.
The Mazda piston set filed under 2E
A JCC piston set for the Mazda B6 carries a 2E code in its title and is filed here as a result. The Mazda B6 is a 1.6 litre engine unrelated to the Toyota 2E, so buy that set only for a B6 build.
