The Nissan L20B is a 1,952 cc inline four, SOHC with eight valves, carburetted and naturally aspirated. Bore is 85 mm and stroke 86 mm. Nissan built it from the mid 1970s into the early 1980s for the Datsun 200B and the 720 ute. The L20B uses a timing chain, not a belt. Only the timing chain is L20B specific among the 5 parts listed here.
L20B timing chain
A double row timing chain of 110 links is listed, and it is the only line here boxed for the L20B alone. Count the links on the chain that comes off the engine rather than working from the badge on the car.
Main and conrod bearing sets
Main and conrod bearing sets are both listed, and both carry Z20, Z22 and Z24 numbers alongside the L20B. That overlap is why they also sit under our 720 D21 and Navara sections, which is how the supplier files them rather than L20B fitment.
L20B piston rings
The TP ring set covers the L18 and the L20B together. Both use the same 85 mm bore and differ only in stroke, the 1.8 litre L18 running the shorter throw. The L20 page carries the L20A six as well, a 2.0 litre on a 78 mm bore. This L20B term is the four cylinder.
The rest of our L20B stock
A KP manifold gasket set is the last line, boxed for the L16 and L18 as well as the L20B.
