The Holden C16SE is a 1.6 litre Family 1 petrol four, built from the late 1980s into the mid 1990s. It runs a single overhead camshaft, eight valves and multipoint fuel injection, with no turbo. Opel and Vauxhall used the same block in the Astra and Vectra, and we file these parts under the Astra LD and TR.6 parts for the C16SE are listed here.
Head bolts and gasket sets
The head bolt set here covers the C12NZ, C14NZ, C14SE and C16SE together. The 14 codes are the 1.4 litre versions, and NZ marks single point injection. A VRS gasket set and a rocker cover gasket are listed as well. Read the code off the block rather than the badge, because these engines share most of their top end hardware.
Water pump and crankshaft seal
A water pump and a front crankshaft seal are both listed for the C16SE. Family 1 engines turn the camshaft with a toothed belt, so the front seal is worth doing while the belt is off.
