The Mazda ZB is a 4.1 litre inline six diesel with two valves per cylinder, built under licence from the Perkins 6.247. It went into the second generation Titan and the Boxer, and Ford Australia used it in the F100 before the design was revised as the T4100. Willys Workshop lists 6 parts for the ZB, all of them rebuild items rather than routine service parts.
ZB main and conrod bearings
Half the ZB listing is bearings: main bearing sets in standard and 0.25mm undersize, plus a conrod bearing set. These are catalogued against the 3.8 litre YA as well, and the site files both sixes under Mazda 626. Measure the journals before you commit to an undersize, because a crank that has been ground once rarely matches the last set fitted.
Pistons and pin bushes
The piston set listed is a 0.5mm oversize, so the block needs boring to suit before it goes in. There is also a small end pin bush set for the conrods.
Gaskets and the rest of the ZB list
A full gasket set covers the ZB top and bottom end in one part number. If you are not certain which six cylinder Mazda diesel is in front of you, call Oxley on (07) 3377 3421 or Warana on (07) 5619 7869 with the engine number.
