The Nissan VK45 is a 4.5 litre petrol V8 with double overhead camshafts and 32 valves. The VK45DE is naturally aspirated and port injected, while the VK45DD runs direct injection. VK45 bearing sets
NDC supply both a main bearing set and a conrod bearing set for the VK45. The main set is boxed for the 5.6 litre VK56 as well, and the conrod set covers a second code in the same family. Neither listing gives a size, so measure the journals before choosing standard or undersize.
VK45 crankshaft thrust washers
One NDC thrust washer set is listed, covering the VK45 along with the 5.0 litre VK50 and the direct injected VK56VD. End float grows as the thrust faces wear, so check it with a dial gauge before ordering a size. Like the rest of the family, the VK45 turns its camshafts on a timing chain rather than a belt.
