The Volkswagen CDBA is the single turbo 2.0 litre TDI in the Amarok 2H. Displacement is 1968 cc from an inline four with a DOHC 16 valve head and common rail injection. Output was 90 kW against 120 kW from the twin turbo CDCA. Volkswagen ran the CDBA from 2010 into the mid 2010s. Willys files 9 parts under the CDBA, seven of them shared with the CDCA.
CDBA head bolt and gasket sets
Three NVP head bolt sets and three VRS sets from FAI, NVP and Athena sit under the CDBA. Every VRS set here is supplied without the head gasket, so the head gasket is a separate order. The head bolt sets also cover transverse Audi and Volkswagen 2.0 TDIs such as the BKD and CAGA. Camshaft drive on the CDBA is by toothed belt rather than chain, so the tensioner and idler go with it.
CDBA crankshaft and pistons
An NVP forged crankshaft and a Yenmak piston and ring set cover the rotating assembly. Both are boxed for the CDCA too, since the single and twin turbo codes share block and bore. The forged crankshaft is an upgrade part rather than a standard replacement, so check rod and bearing sizing before ordering.
