The Mitsubishi 4B12 is the 2.4 litre 4B1 family engine, an inline four with a DOHC 16 valve head and MIVEC variable valve timing. It is the 4B11 bored from 86 to 88mm and stroked from 86 to 97mm. Mitsubishi built it from 2007 for the Outlander ZG and ZH and the Lancer CJ. The 4B12 code carries 4 parts here, three of them shared with the 4B11.
Timing chain tensioner and water pump
The 4B12 runs a timing chain, not a belt. The tensioner listed here suits the 2.0 and the 2.4 alike. The NPW water pump is the same story, one part number across both. Neither part is bore dependent, which is why the two engines share them.
Pistons for the 2.4 litre 4B12
A genuine Mitsubishi piston is listed with its pin, sold singly rather than as a set of four. Order four if the whole engine is coming apart. The 4B12 bore is 88mm, so 4B11 pistons will not go in. This is the only line here specific to the 2.4.
