The Nissan SR20DE is a 2.0 litre inline four, DOHC with 16 valves, naturally aspirated and multi point injected, with an alloy block and head. It is the non turbo version of the SR20DET. Nissan fitted it to the Pulsar N14 SSS from 1991 and the Pulsar N15 SSS to 2000, and to the Primera.Stock for the SR20DE runs to 18 parts.
Head gaskets, head bolts and studs
KP head gaskets, NVP head bolt sets and an ARP 12mm head stud kit, all shared with the turbo engine. Rocker cover gaskets and a genuine exhaust manifold gasket sit alongside.
SR20DE pistons and ring sets
Ring sets from TP, RIK and NVP in standard and 1mm oversize. One set is listed for the late engine only, so check your build date before ordering rather than going by the SR20DE badge alone.
Timing chain, guides and water pump
The SR20DE uses a timing chain, not a belt. Chains, a genuine tension side chain guide and a Paraut water pump. The SR20DET page carries the turbo specific listings, same chain, lower compression and a turbo on the side.
