The Ford 302W is the Windsor 5.0 litre V8, a pushrod overhead valve engine with two valves per cylinder and a single cam in the block. It is the small block Ford, not the 302 Cleveland. Parts here are filed for the Falcon, mostly XD to XF. The 302W archive is short at 4 parts, two of which are cut for a 347 stroker.
Stroker crankshafts and conrods
The forged crankshaft and the Callies Compstar H beam conrod are both machined for a 2.1 inch rod journal. That is a 347 stroker combination rather than a standard 302 rebuild. Check what journal your existing rods use before you order either part.
Head bolts and main bearings
An Enginetech head bolt set is listed for the 302W on its own. The TDC main bearing set is filed against the 221, 255, 260, 289, 302C and 302W together. The Windsor is chain driven, and no timing set is listed under this code.
Beyond the 302W code
The rest of our 302 stock sits in the wider 302 archive, which also takes in the Cleveland and its canted valve heads. If you are not sure which 302 you have, call Oxley on (07) 3377 3421 or Warana on (07) 5619 7869 with your engine number.
