The Suzuki H25A is a 2.5 litre V6 petrol, DOHC with 24 valves, naturally aspirated with multipoint fuel injection. The H25A runs a timing chain, not a belt. Suzuki built it from 1998 to 2005 for the Grand Vitara, the SQ625 in Australia. The 2.7 litre H27A of the XL-7 is the same block with a bigger bore. 8 parts for it are listed here.
H25A timing chain set
An NVP timing chain set with gears, boxed for the H25A alone. Worn sprockets will flog out a new chain, so a set with gears is the right way to buy it.
Pistons, rings and bearings
A TIK piston set at 0.25 mm oversize and an NPR ring set. TDC main and conrod bearing sets shared with the H27A, plus a main bearing set at 0.5 mm undersize. The oversize pistons and undersize bearings are separate listings, so measure the bores and crank journals before ordering rather than assuming a rebuild needs both.
VRS gasket set and water pump
A KP VRS gasket set boxed for the H25A alone, and a water pump listed for both the H20A and H25A. The H20A is the 2.0 litre V6 of the earlier Vitara.
