The Coyote is Ford’s 5.0 litre petrol V8, 4951cc, DOHC with 32 valves and variable cam timing. The COYOTE is naturally aspirated and port injected, with direct injection added from 2018. Ford built it from 2011 for the Mustang, here in the S550 from 2015, and a supercharged version powered the FPV FG GT and the FG X XR8.We hold 18 parts for the COYOTE.
Coyote exhaust: mufflers, header flanges and pipes
Manta dual rear mufflers for the BF to FG GT and GS sedans, covering the 5.4 and the supercharged Coyote, in 2.5 inch and 3 inch, listed left and right hand side. Also 3 inch connecting pipes for the FG to suit high flow cats and a 1 7/8 inch header flange for the 5.0.
Head gaskets and extractor gaskets
Athena MLS head gaskets, left side and right side, for the 5.0 Coyote, plus an extractor gasket for the FG Falcon and the Mustang GT. The Coyote runs timing chains, not a belt.
Forged pistons and harmonic balancer
A CP Bullet flat top piston set at 3.631 inch on the 3.650 inch stroke and 5.932 inch rod, 10:1 compression, and a Fluidampr harmonic balancer. The 3.631 is a stock bore piston, so it suits a fresh hone but not a block already bored over: measure before ordering.
