The Holden LY7 is the 3.6 litre Alloytec V6, an all alloy DOHC 24 valve engine. The LY7 is naturally aspirated with port fuel injection. It arrived in the VZ Commodore in 2004 and ran in the VE from 2006 until the SIDI engines replaced it by 2010. The LG2 is the earlier 3.8 litre pushrod V6, not this engine.This page lists 9 parts for the LY7.
Timing chain and tensioners
The LY7 runs a timing chain, not a belt. The genuine inverted tooth chain listed suits VZ models only. Both genuine tensioners are here and they are handed. The left hand one also covers the LLT and LFX. The right hand one is LE0 and LY7 only, so match the bank.
LY7 pistons and rings
Two TIK piston sets are listed. One suits the early port injected LY7 and LE0, the other the SIDI LLT and LFX. The LLT and LFX are the same 3.6 litre with direct injection, but that SIDI set still uses LY7 rings. An NPR ring set covers LY7 and LLT.
LY7 gaskets
Three gaskets: an NVP full set for the early 3.6, an inlet manifold set and a left hand rocker cover gasket. The LE0 is the same 3.6 litre with inlet cam timing only and a lower tune. It shares most parts here.

One 1 5/8 inch primary extractor for the VE 3.6 is the only non internal item. It is listed against the HB and H7 engine prefixes.
