The 2TZ-FE is Toyota’s 2.4 litre petrol inline four, 2438cc, with a DOHC 16 valve head, natural aspiration and multipoint fuel injection. It sits laid over at 75 degrees under the front floor of the Tarago TCR10 and TCR20, which ran from 1990 to 2000. The 2RZ-FE in the Hilux shares its 95mm bore and 2438cc but sits upright. 2TZ-FE timing chain, guides and tensioner
The 2TZ-FE uses a timing chain, not a belt. We list the chain on its own, full timing sets, the tensioner, a genuine camshaft sprocket and two chain guides. The guides are not interchangeable: one is the oil pump side guide and the other is the tension side damper, so check which one has worn before you order. Several of these carry the 2RZ as well because it is the same part on both.
2TZ-FE pistons and ring sets
