The Nissan Z20 is a 2.0 litre inline four with a single overhead cam and an eight valve crossflow head. The Z20 is naturally aspirated, carburetted as the Z20S or injected as the Z20E. Nissan built it from 1979 into the mid 1980s for the 720 ute and the Urvan E23. The Z20 runs a timing chain, not a belt. This page lists 7 parts under the Z20 code.
Z20 timing chain and guides
A single row 104 link timing chain is listed for the Z20 alone. Two chain guides are here, one aftermarket and one genuine Nissan slack side guide. Both also fit the 2.2 Z22.
Z20 main and conrod bearings
The main bearing set and the NDC conrod set are shared with the Z22 and the 2.4 Z24. Those engines differ from the Z20 by bore, 87 mm and 89 mm against 85 mm, not by journal size. The same sets fit the L16, L18 and L20B, since the Z series kept the L crank.
Z20 water pump and extractor
The water pump only suits engines without air conditioning, so check the pulley setup on the vehicle before ordering. The extractor is the 2WD Navara item and it is shared with the Z24, so confirm the ute is 2WD first.
