The Nissan VG30 is a 3.0 litre 60 degree V6: 2,960cc, 87mm bore, 83mm stroke. The VG30E is SOHC 12 valve, injected and naturally aspirated, the VG30ET adds a turbo, and the VG30DE and VG30DETT are DOHC 24 valve, the DETT twin turbo. Built from 1983 to 2000, it powered the Pathfinder WD21, Navara D21 and 300ZX Z31 and Z32.There are 15 parts listed for the VG30.
VG30 gasket sets
KP lower gasket sets under three part numbers, L220, L326 and one for the VG30DETT, plus a Manta extractor gasket for the Navara and Pathfinder VG30 and VG33. Three lower sets means three builds, so quote your engine number when ordering.
VG30 pistons and rings
NVP standard ring sets, an ACL set at 0.5mm oversize that also covers the VG30DE and VG30DETT, and an NVP piston set for the turbo VG30. The turbo piston is not the aspirated one, and oversize rings only belong in a bored block, so measure first.
Conrod bearings and timing belt tensioner
ACL, NDC and NVP conrod bearing sets boxed with the RB30, and a timing belt tensioner listed with the RB30E. The VG30 runs a timing belt, not a chain.
