4JJ3 injectors
Denso common rail injectors for the D-Max and BT-50 from 2020 on come as a single unit or a set of four. Both are listed for the 4JJ3 only, so do not cross them over from the 4JJ1 it replaced. If one injector is playing up, testing the set first shows whether one or all four need replacing, and our injector testing and cleaning service does exactly that.
Exhausts for a DPF-equipped ute
The RG D-Max and the BT-50 from 2020 carry a DPF. On a road-registered vehicle the filter and the catalytic converter have to stay fitted and working. That makes the DPF-back systems the straightforward road option, because they start behind the filter and leave it alone. Turbo-back systems start at the turbo outlet, so ask us whether one keeps the factory DPF before you order it for a road vehicle. The versions listed without a cat are made for off-road and competition vehicles.

Are 4JJ3 injectors the same as 4JJ1 injectors?
No. The 4JJ3 injectors are listed for the 4JJ3 only. The two engines share the 3.0-litre capacity, but the injectors are different parts, so order by engine code and build date rather than by the badge.
Should I fit a DPF-back or a turbo-back to an RG D-Max?
For a road-registered ute, the DPF-back. It bolts on behind the factory filter and leaves the filter and converter where they are. Turbo-back systems begin further forward, and the ones without a cat are intended for off-road and competition use only.
